Announcing Higher Ed Camp Philly

HigherEdCamp is a one day
un-conference connecting communities involved in higher education technology.
It will take place on Saturday June 6th at the University of Pennsylvania.
Attendance is completely free.

HigherEdCamp is about
innovating education through an understanding of emerging technologies,
adoption of open standards, and participation in evolving communication
channels.

Colleges and universities
face a challenging economic environment. The pace of technological development
is not slowing down. We’ll be gathering together technologists, administrators,
faculty, students, and researchers from all over the Philadelphia area and
beyond for a day of open discussion on how we can innovate higher education and
the technology that powers it.

Lots of Love

This wonderful, yummy dessert was made by following the Fork You Quick Fork: Quick and easy Mousse
Warning: it is very rich and a little goes a long way.

Gabe is growing so fast, it’s hard to believe that he’s 3 months old now.  He loves to sing along with his Pop pop, even if he can’t make words yet.

What I did over winter break

Gabriel Robert was born on November 17th.

I managed to finish his blankie before Christmas:

Jordan stopped by for a sleepover:

I caught Pop pop and Gabe napping:

 And I finished some knitting:

Cutie Pies

Jordan got to go to work with his Mom on Friday, and I got to share a seat with him on the train!

Here’s Dylan trying to figure out what to do with the remote. He must have thought it was an ice pop!

Summer School has wiped me out

I went to knitting circle last night at Rosies Yarn Cellar.  It was Mindy’s last night with us before moving.  I cannot believe how tired I look.  Good thing I have a vacation coming up.

Chillin’ and Knittin’

We bought a water fountain and two "leap frogs".  Maggie had ideas of things to do with the fountain…

This is my knitting corner – and I finished the anthracite shawl this weekend.

We bought a frog in a hammock that sways in the wind.  There were lilies that came up and suprised us.

Cupcakes, Akitas and iPhones, oh my!

Last night I made cupcakes for our Developer’s Hangout at Wharton.

And I just couldn’t resist taking pics of our Akita, Zak this morning. Notice the tounge hanging out.

Today is the day that my Nextel contract is up.  Which means that I can activate my iPhone today 🙂

Beth’s Wedding Day, Jan 27, 2008

I’m still adjusting to her being Mrs. Andrew Kagan, not my little Bethy, but she was such a gorgeous bride.  Her and Andrew planned the perfect day.  They were both so happy.  And now they are moving just down the street.   She’s started her own business – Bethycakes.  What a wonderful life!  A mom can’t wish for more of her children.
